The Baltimore Metropolitan Council is an organization of the region's elected executives who are committed to identifying regional interests and developing collaborative strategies, plans and programs which will improve the quality of life and economic vitality throughout the region by: : Providing a forum for cooperative regional planning; : Providing an opportunity to discuss differences among subdivisions in attaining regional goals; : Collecting, analyzing and disseminating regional data; : Cooperating and communicating with neighboring regions; : Ensuring cost-effective delivery of services through cooperation with all levels of government; : Participating with citizens and others interested in solving regional problems.
