Therapeutic Living Centers for the Blind (TLC) is dedicated to caring for the lifetime needs of people challenged by developmental disabilities and blindness. TLC believes in the value of each individual and promotes the philosophy that each participant can be assisted to achieve his or her full potential.
TLC was founded by Bernice and Seymour Pearlman in 1975 at a time when programs and services for their multi-disabled blind son were nonexistent. Mr. & Mrs. Pearlman, along with a small group of other families, were determined that the status quo could not continue. Through their diligence and determination they made it happen by personally signing the note on TLC's first home. More than a facility, TLC represents a family working together to support each individual in order to develop his or her unique strengths.
