ICHOM’s mission is to catalyze a global movement towards value-based health care by supporting providers to measure outcomes that matter most to patients. ICHOM defines these outcomes in collaboration with patients, healthcare professionals and researchers, and provides guidance to providers on how to measure them in practice. To date, ICHOM has worked with over 600 organizations, 15 national registries and across 30 countries. ICHOM is a non-profit and was founded in 2012 in Boston, MA. Its Board members are Professor Michael E. Porter of Harvard Business School, Dr. Stefan Larsson of the Boston Consulting Group, Professor Martin Ingvar of the Karolinska Institute and Dr. Don Berwick of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
