The Boston Private Industry Council (PIC) works to strengthen Boston’s communities and its workforce by connecting youth and adults with education and employment opportunities that align with the needs of area employers.
Every year the PIC connects more than 3,000 teenagers with summer jobs and school-year internships, re-enrolls over 300 Boston high school dropouts, coaches more than 500 BPS graduates at local community colleges, and oversees Boston's career centers, which serve more than 15,000 job seekers annually.
Our work is grounded in the belief that meaningful employment changes lives, lifts people out of poverty, and strengthens the local economy. To make things happen, we depend on a community of collaborators willing to offer their time, their resources, and their affiliation. At the PIC, we're working to build a stronger Boston - together.
