About
The Investment Adviser Association is a not-for-profit organization that exclusively represents the interests of SEC-registered investment adviser firms. The Association was founded in 1937 and played a major role in the enactment of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the federal law regulating the investment adviser industry. The IAA membership manages in excess of $25 trillion in assets for a wide variety of institutional and individual clients, including pension plans, trusts, investment companies, private funds, endowments, foundations, and corporations. The IAA serves as the advocate for investment advisory firms with respect to every major issue that arises before the U.S. Congress, the SEC, the CFTC, the Department of Labor, state securities regulators, and other policy makers. We provide significant benefits to our members, including up-to-date regulatory, compliance, and educational services.
