Dundee Carers Centre aims to improve the lives of carers through practical and emotional support, advocacy, training and information about services, rights and benefits. A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a partner, child, family member or friend who could not manage without their help. This could be due to age, disability, physical or mental illness or addiction. Anyone can be a carer – we work with carers aged from 5 to 95. Many carers do not consider themselves to be a carer. They are just looking after their mother, son, partner or best friend, just getting on with it and doing what anyone else would in the same situation.
