The Hospital Research Foundation (THRF) Group supports people in the community by funding vital health and medical research and improved patient care in our hospitals
Research supported by THRF Group is translational in nature and benefits the local community as well as those on a national and global scale.
THRF has been supporting The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research for more than 50 years. More recently, THRF has expanded its support which now includes funding lifesaving research, equipment and projects at:

· The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and its research arm the Basil Hetzel Institute for Translational Health Research
· The Lyell McEwin Hospital
· The Centre for Cancer Biology
· The Jamie Larcombe Centre
Our Group includes a number of charitable affiliates, providing donors with an opportunity to support a specific area of research or patient care. These include;

For every $1 donated in 2017, $4 went to lifesaving research and patient care. How Our administration costs are covered by our commercial business activities (such as our lottery program) which also boosts our funds to research and patient care each year.
