Julius Walls Jr. is Chief of Staff for Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Church, a 5000 member church in Mount Vernon. In this new role Mr. Walls supports Rev. Dr. W. Darin Moore, the Pastor in overseeing their 15 plus ministerial staff and 100 plus ministries. As the former CEO of the Greyston Bakery, serving there for 14 years, Mr. Walls grew the Bakery to a $7 million for-profit bakery owned by the non-profit Greyston Foundation. Mr. Walls is also an adjunct professor at the business graduate schools of Stern at NYU and Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Seattle teaching social enterprise and Social Justice & Business respectively and the co-author of MISSION, INC., The Practitioners Guide to Social Enterprise, 2008. Mr. Walls serves as an invited participant in the John F. Kennedy School of Government's Executive Session on Transforming Cities through Civic Entrepreneurs at Harvard University for 2008/2009. In 2009, Mr. Walls was named the first Social Entrepreneur in Residence at NYU. Also in 2009, Mr. Walls was named one of the Ten Most Influential Blacks in Westchester by African-American Chamber of Commerce.
