1961: J. Kenneth McIntosh purchases the Thompson Box Company located on E. First Street in East Syracuse and renames it McIntosh Box & Lumber Co. 1968: The company moves to its current Pyle Drive location. 1970: McIntosh Box & Lumber, Co. is renamed McIntosh Box & Pallet, Co. 1971: McIntosh opens its 2nd facility in Bernhards Bay, NY. 1987: The company purchases Dahn Crating Company in Rome, NY to support business opportunities in the Mohawk Valley. 1992: McIntosh expands its Bernhards Bay facility by purchasing an adjacent 30 acre parcel with infrastructure from Rutland Plywood Corp. This expansion allows McIntosh to enter the growing recycled pallet market.
