CAMPUS USA Credit Union was originally chartered in 1935 as Gainesville Florida Campus Federal Credit Union. In the late 90s we converted to a state of Florida charter under our current name. Our deposit accounts are insured up to $350,000 by the highest combination of Federal and private insurance available: up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency, and up to $250,000 by Excess Share Insurance, the nation's largest private insurer of credit unions. CAMPUS serves over 60,000 members from all over the world. As a non-profit cooperative, we are owned by our members. Profits are returned to our owner-members in the form of no and low cost financial services. Since our members own CAMPUS, we can never be bought nor can we merge with another institution without our members' approval. Our mission is to empower members so that they may reach their full potential financially - and to provide world class service. Empowering members includes offering best-of-market rates on all types of loans, savings and CDs.
