CAPI USA, originally called The Centre for Asian and Pacific Islanders was founded in 1982 by a coalition of church groups helping refugees arriving from Southeast Asia in the aftermath of the Vietnam conflict. Since then our services have expanded towards refugees and immigrants arriving from East Africa, Nepal, Burma, and many other countries around the world.
