About
Leah’s Pantry is the national leader in trauma-informed nutrition security. Our mission is to improve the health, wellness, and resilience of communities through trauma-informed nutrition security. Founded in San Francisco, CA in 2006, Leah’s Pantry cultivates nourished communities through the design, evaluation, and implementation of a wide variety of community programs that support a healthy diet, cooking skills, food security, and resiliency. Our flagship nutrition education curriculum, Food Smarts, has graduated over 15,000 participants in California, Washington State, and Wisconsin. We’ve supported over 150,000 Californians to find healthy meals, connect with food assistance, and get questions answered through EatFresh.org, our recipe and nutrition website. Individuals struggling to make ends meet find healthy foods and welcoming spaces at pantries certified through our rapidly growing Nutrition Pantry Program network. And most recently, youth and caregivers have used community and food skills to build nourishment and resiliency through the nation’s first trauma-informed nutrition education curricula - Around the Table and Around the Table: Nourishing Families.
