Scott Bridge Company, Inc.’s roots date back to 1933 when Mr. I.J. Scott (Jud) and two partners formed Scott Construction Company in Thomasville, Georgia. In 1957 Mr. Scott left this firm to form his own company, The Scott Bridge Company, in Opelika, Alabama. The company became incorporated in 1965 by I.J. Scott and his son, I.J. Scott, Jr. Currently, Mr. I.J. Scott’s grandsons, I.J. Scott, III (Ike), President, William Scott, Vice President, and David Scott, Board Member own and continue to further the principles and traditions of their father and grandfather before them. SBC offers quality, performance, and experience in areas including, Highway Bridge Construction; Railroad Bridge Construction; Design-Build Contracts; Specialized work on the water; Cofferdams, Docks, Berths, Fender Systems, Mooring Dolphins; Pile Driving, Steel Erection, Sheet Pile Walls; Construction Management; Emergency and Disaster relief projects. Anything from a $192 million Joint Venture project in Augusta, Georgia to helping restore rail traffic into New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
