Get Current! Raftr is an authenticated social platform for college students to get current on what's happening on campus and to get connected with others who share the same interests. Raftr solves the problem that college students are often missing events on campus due to frustrating email-listservs and group notifications that often aren't relevant to them on other social platforms. Raftr is a way to find your people, with an experience that is specific to your university. A group of otters linked together is called a “raftâ€. Sea otters are very social animals that often eat, rest, & sleep together while floating in these rafts. Rafts can include hundreds of otters connected with one another by holding hands. We see this as a metaphor for the conversations and connections students make with each other in communities formed around common interests, ideas, clubs and sports.
