Cambridge Management, Inc. (CMI) was founded in 1987 to provide quality management of affordable housing communities developed under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. These communities provide greatly needed affordable homes to households with limited incomes. Many of these households include senior citizens or people with disabilities. The LIHTC program has complicated regulations and requires strict adherence to compliance rules regarding resident qualification and file maintenance. CMI has developed strong leadership in financial management, asset management, property operations and compliance with federal programs including LIHTC and the HUD Section 8 program.
Today, Cambridge Management, Inc. has grown to a team of approximately 350 employees managing 128 communities and 10,740 apartment homes. The portfolio includes garden-style and midrise communities that range in size from six to 296 units. CMI currently manages communities in Washington, California, Hawaii, South Dakota, Florida, Louisiana and Georgia. CMI is headquartered in Tacoma, Washington with a regional office in Clearwater, Florida.
