Mission Statement It is the mission of the Syosset Public Library to provide the residents of the Syosset School District with the broadest possible range of information resources as well as a variety of opportunities for cultural enrichment that enhances the quality-of-life of the community. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES We will strive to maintain an extensive reference collection, worldwide reliable electronic resources and an expert service-oriented staff. We will strive to provide the newest and best reading materials as well as a strong collection of classic literature. We will strive to make available noteworthy music, movie and other non-print items to meet the diverse needs and tastes of the community. We will strive to have a variety of programs for children that are entertaining, educational and encourage a life-long love for reading and knowledge. We will provide support for the excellent educational programs offered in our schools. We will strive to have adult programming that is informational, instructive and entertaining. We will schedule exciting trips to concerts, theatre productions and other points of interest.
