The International NGO Safety & Security Association (INSSA) is a non-profit global membership association of individuals, supported by organizations, committed to improving the quality and effectiveness of safety and security for humanitarian relief and development assistance workers operating in complex and dangerous environments around the world. INSSA does this through four main avenues of programming: Advocacy, Collaboration, Education & Professional Development, and Standardization. INSSA aims to: -Promote and establish NGO safety and security good practices among humanitarian workers, implementing organizations, government and private sector donors. -Promote innovation, collaboration and resource sharing through its: online professional exchanges; online career portal; NGO security specific events, trainings, and meetings; database of information and applied methodologies; and its growing partnerships with organizations, companies, and academic institutions relevant to NGO security professionals and implementers. -Promote NGO safety and security as a specialized field through professional development, research and public awareness.
