Princeton Plasma Physics Lab (PPPL) is affiliated with both Princeton University and the U.S. Dept of Energy, and has an associated mission to provide the highest quality scientific education. PPPL is a collaborative national center that advances the coupled fields of fusion energy and plasma physics research in developing scientific understanding and key innovations needed to realize fusion as a safe and economic energy source for the world. The Laboratory is sited on 88 acres of Princeton University's James Forrestal Campus, about three miles from the main campus
