Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans's core purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Junior Achievement remains focused to teach young people real world lessons and prepare students for future economic and workforce issues. Nationally since 1919, locally since 1955, and worldwide now in more than 100 countries, Junior Achievement enables young people to understand business, citizenship, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics, financial literacy, and work readiness. JA programs also encourage confidence and motivate young people to achieve their personal, educational, and career goals.
