The Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies (known as Stanford Seed) is a Stanford Graduate School of Business-led initiative intent on ending the cycle of poverty in developing economies.
At Stanford, we believe that some of the most pressing problems we face today, including poverty, can be addressed through leadership and innovation in the private sector.
Building on Stanford's decades-long history of educating innovators in Silicon Valley, Stanford Seed is now bringing this innovative mindset and practical business training to entrepreneurs in Africaand soon to additional geographies around the world.
Only Stanford Seed provides a combination of training, networking support, and coaching for established business leaders in developing economies; curriculum development and immersive programs for Stanford students to inspire them to become globally-engaged citizens and leaders; and funding for critical research related to issues of poverty that may culminate in more effective interventions in the future.
