The City of Abilene, Kansas is a city located near the Flint Hills of Kansas. Abilene is located about 25 miles west of Junction City, 32 miles west of Fort Riley (home of Big Red One), and 30 miles east of the regional center of Salina. Abilene has a population of approximately 6,800 people. Attractions in Abilene include the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library, Old Abilene Town, the Greyhound Museum, and the Seeley Mansion.
