Denton Publications, now Sun Community News & Printing (The Sun) was founded in Elizabethtown, NY in 1948 by William Denton. Working out of his garage, with a small print shop and family members as his staff, Mr. Denton began publishing the Valley News. Today, from that humble beginning, the company has grown to employ over 60 dedicated professionals. An 18,000 square foot production facility in Elizabethtown, NY, serving the region with seven targeted distribution newspapers throughout northeastern New York State along with a quarterly lifestyle magazine. Despite the steady growth of our company we still operate under some very simple guidelines; quality work, personalized customer service and fair pricing. Delivered free via the US Postal Service to over 52,000 homes in the region, and our online offerings through desktop & mobile, we are able to provide the valuable, ultra-local hometown news from our communities and make that information available anywhere. Our news network is active 24/7. While many news organizations have reduced their services over the past few years, The Sun continues to expand and provide new opportunities to local businesses.
