About
Western Seminary is committed to investing in the lives of future Christian leaders. As this relates to Youth Ministry, this serious and strategic endeavor is supported by two complementary grants from Lilly Endowment, Inc. and M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. In essence, Western Seminary has launched a program, called "TruthQuest Training," that will offer rich biblical and theological training for both high school students and youth leaders. High school students receive training through weekend and week-long events. Our seminary professors engage the students in in-depth theological discussions concerning topics that are relevant to today's youth. We also promote the TruthQuest book series (Broadman & Holman Publishers) written specifically for high school students. This series includes Bibles, journals, and books on topics related to theology, apologetics, discipleship, interpersonal relationships, creation, comparative religions, and more. Adults in youth ministry also have various opportunities to connect with TruthQuest Training. Western Seminary offers graduate level courses, which lead to multiple Master's degree and certificate options designed to fit the graduate student's time and financial commitment availability. There are also training and networking events hosted throughout the year to foster spiritual renewal and growth, as well as fellowship opportunities.
