The Southern Co-operative is an independently owned regional Co-operative Society based in southern England with over 200 community stores and 50 funeral homes across the South of England in Berkshire, Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Wiltshire and Bristol. Floristry, Masonry and Limousines are also part of The Southern Co-operative's business, along with our online and mail order businesses Co-operative Independent Living which provides aids to daily living for elderly and disabled people to help them live more independent lives. Community involvement is paramount to the success of The Southern Co-operative's business and includes fundraising for local charities, supporting environmental and community owned organisations and working with local food producers. In 2015- 2016 we presented over £955,000 to local good causes and we even pay our colleagues to volunteer to help support their local communities further, and have achieved over 10,000 hours in the past 3 years. We are proud of the work we do, and were awarded Highly Commended for Convenience Retailer of the Year 2012 and won Community Retailer of the Year 2011.
