The Somerset Patriots baseball team was founded in 1998. They operate as the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees. We provide Professional Minor League Baseball played in Beautiful TD Bank Ballpark, providing Affordable, Family Entertainment to Central New Jersey, attracting over 380,000 fans per season. The "Patriots" name refers to the Middlebrook encampment where the first official flag of the United States was unfurled, after a law to adopt a national flag had been passed by Congress on June 14, 1777. The Somerset Patriots were one of the founding members of the Atlantic League in 1998. However, the team spent its inaugural season as a road team while TD Bank Park was being constructed.
