AB Dynamics has supplied innovative, high quality test equipment to the global automotive industry for over 35 years. The 25 most successful vehicle manufacturers worldwide all use AB Dynamics' driving robots, along with NHTSA and Euro NCAP to develop testing standards.
AB Dynamics supplied the first steering robot for quantitative vehicle testing on the track in 1998, and has now supplied over 750 driving robot systems around the world, making them the number one supplier in this field.
AB Dynamics was an early pioneer of the use of an inertial GPS motion pack to control the path of a vehicle in 2001, and in 2007 was one of the first manufacturers to sell a system for testing vehicles on the track without a driver onboard - this is the award-winning Driverless Test System.
In 2016 the company entered into partnership with Williams F1 to produce advanced Driving Simulators to allow the automotive customers Driver in the Loop capabilities for vehicle dynamics modelling and the evaluation of ADAS technology.
At their facility in the UK, they design and manufacture specialised systems for:
• Suspension, chassis and steering system development
• Testing of vehicle dynamics on the track
• Development of the next generation of advanced safety system in the vehicles
• Evaluation of driverless car technology
• Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) testing of power train assemblies
• Vehicle driving simulation
• Kinematics and compliance testing
