Mercer Health is accredited by The Joint Commission, the Ohio Department of Health, Medicare and Medicaid. As a Joint Commission accredited hospital, a survey is completed every three years with the laboratory being surveyed at least every two years. The Joint Commission accredits and certified more than 19,000 health care organizations and programs in the United states and is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization's commitment to meeting certain performance standards.
