Alpine Ocean Seismic Survey, Inc. was established in 1957 when marine surveying was in its infancy. The goal of the researchers who founded the company was to provide public and private institutions with the latest technologies developed within the university system. Today, Alpine continues its commitment to excellence and innovation by supplying its clients with a wide range of geophysical, hydrographic, geotechnical, environmental and positioning data collection services. Specializing in coastal, inshore and inland marine and freshwater surveys, our clients benefit from our accomplished and experienced staff of professionals backed by state-of-the-art equipment and a wide range of survey vessels. Our newest vessel, the 110’ R/V Shearwater, started service in March of 2011 after an extensive refit. The vessel is designed for 24hr operations and is incredibly maneuverable due to its azimuth thruster propulsion system. Features include two equipment moon pools, crane, hydraulic stern a-frame, fixed side a-frame, equipment handling winches, a dedicated lab, a dedicated processing office, and sleeping quarters for 20 people. With well over 2000 successfully completed projects on 6 continents, Alpine has the ability to provide your company with effective data collection designs and innovative solutions for your particular project needs.
