Saint Catherine’s Academy provides a safe, Catholic, formative educational environment which is enhanced by the charism of the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose and a military tradition for boys in kindergarten through eighth grade, both resident and day. Our program provides structure to a young man’s life, instills character, personal responsibility, a competitive spirit, the ability to determine priorities and an internal drive to excel by taking pride in one’s work and accomplishments. St. Catherine’s offers a distinctive learning environment for the development of the whole boy; we believe strongly in the benefits of a single-sex school environment, as research studies and science confirm, boys learn differently from girls. While our students excel academically, we place a strong emphasis upon character development and spiritual growth. We believe that spiritual growth, athletic accomplishments and character development are vital contributory factors in a young man’s overall academic achievements. We encourage each student to accept personal responsibility, to take pride in his work and to exhibit self-discipline and honor.
