The Hockessin Athletic Club (HAC) opened its doors June 10, 2007after the transformation of a 12 acre mushroom processing site. The owners of the club, Bob Carpenter and Roger Ralph, between them had over 40 years industry experience and set out to create a unique family and community oriented health club second to none. Today, HAC is the only tax paying health club in the United States bordered by a state park. The effective use of the land for both the club and beautiful Tweed’s Park reflects the cooperative effort of the Delaware Department of Transportation, HAC, and the Hockessin community.
