About
The mission of Northwest College of Construction (NWCOC) is to promote life-long learning by delivering craft, technical, supervisory and management education to the construction industry. NWCOC is accredited through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). NWCOC is also an administrator of apprenticeship training programs with Training Standards and Apprenticeship Committees approved by the Oregon State Apprenticeship Training Council and overseen by the Bureau of Labor and Industries as well as by the Washington State Apprenticeship Training Council and overseen by the Washington Department of Labor and Industries. NWCOC was founded by four trade industry associations who recognized the workforce shortage was a challenge bigger than one company or one association could tackle on its own. By combining our efforts and resources, we can recruit and train the next generation of contractors. Our Founding Sponsors: Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Pacific Northwest Chapter Associated General Contractors (AGC) Oregon-Columbia Chapter Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland (HBA) The National Utility Contractors Association (NWUCA) of Oregon & Southwest Washington
