Centro Legal de la Raza is a community based nonprofit that provides free legal services to low-income individuals and families in Oakland and Northern and Central California.
For five decades Centro has protected and advanced the rights of low-income, immigrant and Latino communities. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Oakland, CA, Centro combines free legal services with know-your-rights education and youth development. Centro ensures access to justice for thousands of individuals.
Our three legal programs include immigrant rights, tenant rights, and worker rights. The Youth Law Academy works to inspire the next generation of legal leaders and promote diversity in the field of law.
In addition to providing free legal services, Centro also advocates for policies that further safeguard the rights of immigrants, tenants and workers.
