National WMU, auxiliary to the Southern Baptist Convention, challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God. Since its beginning in 1888, WMU has been true to its basic purpose: missions.
As a nonprofit organization headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, WMU offers a vast array of missions resources including curriculum for age-level organizations in churches, volunteer opportunities, conferences, leadership training, ministry ideas and models, books, and much more.
Along with missions education resources, WMU also raises awareness for global issues such as human exploitation, publishes Christian literature through our division of New Hope Publishers, and supports artisans through the fair-trade division of WorldCrafts.
