About
Since 1970, Viking has grown into a dynamic aerospace company, servicing a global customer base with high quality modification, repair, and manufacturing services. In 2006, Viking acquired the Type Certificates for the entire line of de Havilland heritage aircraft, DHC-1 through DHC-7. In 2007, Viking launched the DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400 Program, putting the versatile Twin Otter back into production with over 100 aircraft sold to 26 countries worldwide. Viking operates from 150,000 square feet of manufacturing, assembly, modification and repair facilities located at Victoria International Airport, and a separate 70,000 square foot final aircraft assembly facility at Calgary International Airport. Viking's workforce exceeds 575 employees between the two operations with anticipated growth over the next five years. In addition to manufacturing the Twin Otter Series 400, Viking fully supports the worldwide de Havilland legacy fleet with new manufactured spare parts, in service engineering, technical support, fleet tracking and communications, technical publications, field support, and warranty administration.
