Founded in 1964, The Resource Exchange (TRE) is a nonprofit, Community Centered Board, with the mission of building independence for people with developmental disabilities in El Paso, Park, and Teller counties, Colorado. TRE employs over 250 extraordinarily talented staff and serves 4,400 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families, through a range of fully customizable service lines. TRE is driven by the core values of respect, integrity, partnership, excellence, and accountability.
TRE determines eligibility, provides comprehensive case management, and provides or purchases services and supports for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Although TRE receives government funding for supports, it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that welcomes community investments in order to enhance the quality of life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
