Rooney Brothers, through its Manhattan Construction unit, builds hospitals, government buildings (George Bush Presidential Library in Texas), offices, highways, and sports arenas (Reliant Stadium in Houston). It offers construction management, general contracting, and design/build services to its clients, located mainly in the southwestern and mid-Atlantic states. Rooney Brothers also makes construction materials, operates building supply stores, and manufactures electronics. Family-owned Rooney Brothers was organized in 1984 to acquire Manhattan Construction, which was founded by patriarch L. H. Rooney in 1896.
