Now in its 38th season, the ASO is the professional orchestra-in-residence at Adrian College, under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Bruce Anthony Kiesling, Executive Director Libby Watson and a Board of Directors of community leaders.
Comprised of musicians from throughout Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio, the orchestra regularly collaborates with extraordinary soloists and internationally-known guest artists including prize-winners of the Naumburg, Leeds, and Tchaikovsky competitions who have appeared in venues ranging from New York's Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to The London Symphony and Vienna's Musikverein.
In 2008, the ASO became one of only seven orchestras selected nationwide by the League of American Orchestras to participate in its Institutional Vision Program.
The mission of the Adrian Symphony Orchestra is to create musical performances of the highest quality and to present activities that educate, enhance, and improve the quality of life for the citizens of Lenawee County and Southeast Michigan.
