Hygrade Precision Technologies, founded in 1962 by John J. Salce, currently operates in a 40,000 square foot facility located in central Connecticut. We specialize in precision contract machining, grinding, and lapping services. Hygrade is known as a ‘Single Source Metal Finisher’, maintaining many niche services as well as complete machining capabilities. We target the higher technology markets of today, keeping a focus on both our present and future goals. We service the Aerospace, Automotive, Commercial, Homeland Security, Medical and Power Generation industries. Hygrades capabilities and services include CNC multi-axis machining, ID/OD grinding, flat lapping and grinding, and testing and inspection services, including CMM inspection and surface temper etch services. Hygrade has been ISO approved since September of 1997 and AS9100:2001 approved since November of 2007. Hygrade was initially approved by NADCAP in January of 2004 for Aerospace quality system (AC7004) and Chemical Processing (AC 7108). NADCAP stands for National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program, and is required by companies such as GE, Rolls Royce, Boeing, Bombardier, Pratt and Whitney, and Sikorsky aircraft.
