Wexford Capital LLC was formed in May 1994 by Charles Davidson and Joseph Jacobs who had worked together on several transactions in the early 90\'s while they worked for Steinhardt Partners and Bear Stearns, respectively. Since that time, Wexford has grown into a SEC registered investment advisor with 41 employees at its Greenwich, CT headquarters managing a series of private equity and hedge funds. Wexford has invested over $1.5 billion in private equity investments and has realized over $1.9 billion in proceeds for a realized IRR of 35.9% through December 2003. The Spectrum hedge fund, started in April 1997, has had an annualized gross return of 19.1% (15.2% net of performance fees) through July 2004.
