Founded in 1972, Literacy DuPage is a community-based, non-profit committed to providing educational support and instruction to adult learners in over 30 communities in DuPage County. Our mission is to provide accessible and customized tutoring in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to help adults achieve independence. We achieve this through our trained volunteer tutors who provide free, customized, learner-centered English language instruction in one-on-one or small group settings at a mutually convenient time and location for both tutors and students.
