The Brand Bank was chartered in 1905 after county officials told E.M. Brand that he could no longer loan money on the courthouse steps. He did not move far. He built his bank on the courthouse square. Today, that bank is referred to as the "main office" where E.M. Brand's great great grandson lends money. A second branch was opened on Crogan Street in Lawrenceville in 1964 with new "drive-in" teller windows. Our third location followed in 1972 and is located in Snellville. Gwinnett saw great population growth over the following years. To better serve the needs of the community and provide adequate facilities for operations, a 21,000 square foot center was opened in 1990 on Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville. In 1999 our fifth branch was opened in Grayson, being the first bank in the city. 2001 brought our expansion into Hall County, when we opened our sixth location in Flowery Branch.
