The North Allegheny Foundation is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to encouraging excellence and innovation in the North Allegheny Schools. The Foundation achieves this by providing seed money to facilitate the development of new programs. It is a broad-based community organization and programs supported by the Foundation are intended to go beyond the textbook to provide innovative "hands on" learning experiences. These experiences seek to provide the spark that can ignite a student's interest and imagination. As a non-profit organization, the Foundation may also be used as a vehicle by which memorial and other charitable donations may be made to the North Allegheny School District. The Foundation is involved in funding and administering the Lawrence E. Bozzomo Scholarship. In addition, the North Allegheny Foundation provides fund management for several scholarships whose criteria are set and candidates are selected by other organizations.
