Valley Achievement Center is a leading non-profit organization that specializes in lifelong learning and growth for children and adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. Through our nonpublic school, afternoon socialization programs, and Valley Adult Services, Valley Achievement Center utilizes behavior analytic technology to make a difference in the lives of special children and adults. As Autism awareness increases and more Kern County residents are confronted with the disorder, it is comforting to know that Bakersfield is home to an organization where parents and children affected by autism, and other developmental disorders, will find hope, quality education and a voice. Since 1998, Valley Achievement Center has been a leading non-profit/non-public organization serving children and adults affected by Asperger's syndrome, Autism and other developmental disabilities in Kern County. Our mission has been to provide individuals highly regarded educational programs, critical life skills training, and valuable supported employment and supported living services which enable them to reach their highest potential and lead more fulfilling lives.
