About
Greetings from Cornwall! Seasalt started in 1981 in Penzance selling fishermen's smocks, Guernseys and workwear to the farmers, fishermen and artists of St Ives. Now, 37 years on, we create beautiful and useful clothing and homeware that's inspired by Cornwall's coastal and creative heritage. Many businesses may say it, but at Seasalt our customers truly are right at the heart of everything we do. Seasalt customers recognise value and it's our quality that keeps them coming back to us. You can find our products in over 50 shops around England and Wales, or at 350 stockists around the UK (including select John Lewis and Fenwick stores). Being a Cornish success story is something we're very proud of. Our headquarters are located in our design studio overlooking Falmouth Bay to St Anthony's lighthouse and every day we're inspired to design garments that speak about the place in which we live. Our team includes a diverse range of talent, including graphic designers and fine artists, accountants and logistics experts, textile designers and pattern cutters. Our aim is to trade as responsibly as we can, this includes making our supply chains fair for everyone. Were proud to have been awarded the UK's best Organic Retailer of the Year and in 2005 we became the first fashion company to have garments certified by the Soil Association and are now one of the largest producers of certified organic cotton in the world. In 2013 we, again, were also the first ever fashion company to win the Queen's Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
