Over the years, Neurotherapeutics has wrestled with the issue of providing accessible and affordable treatment to uninsured and under insured children. With that in mind, the business was donated and restructured as a nonprofit therapy clinic in 2007. This allowed for the creation of outreach, education and other programs to support children, their families, schools and other organizations. Through our generous supporters, we are able to continue to think creatively and reach families who wouldn’t ordinarily be able to receive services for their child. We have now been serving the community for over 30 years and have grown to include 6 clinics throughout the state of Oregon. Five clinics are located in the Portland metro area (Oregon City, Northeast Portland, Hillsboro, McMinnville, and Wilsonville), and one clinic is located in Medford. Together these clinics provide more than 400 client visits each week. Our services include Occupational and Physical therapy for children from birth to young adulthood and Mental Health Therapy that provides a wide range of treatment services to children, individuals, couples, and families. We combine the latest, most effective treatment and techniques to address the unique needs of each individual and family. We want to serve the whole client, not just one aspect of their development. SCHOLARSHIPS 4KIDS FUND The Scholarships 4Kids fund helps to cover therapy costs for children who most desperately need it—reaching families who have limited or no insurance coverage. “Every dollar donated to our Scholarships 4kids Fund will go directly toward the provision of services to make a significant and lasting difference in the life of a child and his or her family.†- Karen Brelje, Executive Director. In 2017 alone, the Scholarships 4Kids Fund helped 198 children and youth receive over $262,000 worth of therapy services.
