Later the company supplied product for iconic structures such as the Harbour Bridge, Wellington’s Beehive and the Auckland Sky Tower. The company traces its roots to young entrepreneur William Winstone who, in 1864, set up a haulage business that transported goods to a young but growing country. Winstone Aggregates, part of the Fletcher Building Group, is now New Zealand’s largest supplier of aggregates with 26 locations nationwide.
