Established on May 8, 1823, Perrysburg Township is the oldest and largest township in Wood County, Ohio, with an annual budget of approximately $14 million and total property valuation exceeding $400 million. The Township provides police, fire, EMS, road maintenance, zoning and recreation services to approximately 14,000 residents within a 40.1 square mile area. Perrysburg Township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to four year term beginning on the following January 1st. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it. There is also an elected Township Fiscal Officer, who serves a four year term beginning on April 1st of the year after the election, which is held in November of the year before the presidential election. Ampoint Industrial Park, Cedar Business Park, Chrysler, Walgreens, First Solar, and now FedEx Ground, are just a few of the larger corporations that are located within the Perrysburg Township. Proud of our educational systems, Owens Community College, Penta County Vocational, Perrysburg, Rossford, and Eastwood high school districts are all located within the Township.
