About
Jesuit Academy is an all boys Catholic school serving young men in grades 4-8. Jesuit Academy (formerly Jesuit Middle School of Omaha) opened in 1996 and has developed into a leader in inner-city Catholic education. Jesuit Academy offers a structured and personalized learning environment. It includes an 8.5-hour extended school day, a mandatory summer session for all students, and small class sizes. Additionally, Jesuit offers its graduates critical mentoring, academic tutoring, and high school tuition assistance to ensure students constructively build upon the foundation laid during their middle school years. Jesuit Academy offers young males of all faiths a quality educational opportunity and encourages them to claim ownership of their lives and to develop themselves as responsible leaders. Our school is guided by Catholic principles and these basics of Jesuit education: • Gospel values • Academic excellence • Self-discipline • Religious diversity • Men-for-others Jesuit Academy prepares graduates academically, socially and spiritually for a lifetime of leadership and acceptance into a college preparatory curriculum. Our school commits to walking with and supporting our graduates through high school and into college. The Jesuits are the largest religious order of men in the Catholic Church, founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540. In Omaha, the Jesuits serve the people of God at Creighton University, Creighton Preparatory School, St. Benedict the Moor Parish, St. John’s Parish, C.U. Retreat Center, and Gesu Housing.
