The Las Vegas Aces are a professional basketball team located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Aces are a member of the Women's National Basketball Association, playing in the Western Conference. The team originated in Utah as the Utah Starzz, one of the eight original WNBA teams from the 1997 inaugural season. The Utah Starzz relocated to Texas in 2002, becoming the San Antonio Silver Stars, and in 2014, changed names to the San Antonio Stars. In 2017, MGM Resorts purchased and relocated the team to Nevada, renaming it to the Las Vegas Aces. The Las Vegas Aces play at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, also known as The House.
