Royal Blind is Scotland's largest visual impairment organisation. We are based in Edinburgh and create lifechanging opportunities for visually impaired children and adults from across Scotland and the rest of the UK. We operate six distinct services: The Royal Blind School: A specialist education for young people aged up to 18 years. Adult Services: We provide 24-hour residential care and short breaks for adults with visual impairment and additional disabilities, based in Edinburgh. Care for Older People: Royal Blind has two care homes specialising in care for visually impaired older people, Braeside House in Edinburgh and Jenny's Well in Paisley. The Scottish Braille Press: A leading provider of high-quality alternative formats creating braille, large print and audio. Kidscene: An integrated after school and holiday club. The Learning Hub: An online service providing free teacher training, educational resources, advice and workshops to teachers and other education professionals working with visually impaired children and young people.
